Well today was the last day before the week long half term holiday! First lesson I was teaching third year settlement which went very well....a good bunch of kids. However it quickly became obvious to the staff that a large majority of pupils were wearing jeans (not allowed as part of the school uniform)?! To cut a long story short the pupils had used MSN messenger to organise a uniform protest...I blame Modern Studies. Unfortunately this got slightly out of hand as children began to flee the school...making the lessons after first break more than slightly bizarre. It should be interesting to see how the pupils are dealt with after the break.
Other than that the day went well...I shall be at Moray House on Monday for a meeting but wont have to teach again until a week on Monday...strange idea in the middle of a placement.
Also had the second rehearsal of the barbershop chorus tonight...sounds really good...I seem to have also offered to sing the tenor part in the quartet! Bring it on
