Well I have been back at Moray House for 2 days now. All of the conversations that the geographers are having suggest that the time at Moray House could be much better spent. Apart from the subject tutorials which are beneficial and enjoyable much of the time and resources at Moray House are wasted. We would all prefer more practical lectures from the police, social workers and all kinds of members of the teaching profession (PTs, heads, state and private). Today we had the term 2 survey to fill in and I think everyone wrote basically the same thing.
Luckily our tutor is very close to letting us know where our third placements are going to be!
Oh, I almost forgot to say, personally I enjoyed the talks at the Royal Met. Soc. by Ollie Bray and George Meldrum last Friday. I have attended all of the guest lectures and it was nice to have one focussed on how to teach this somewhat abstract and dare I say "dull" subject to children of all ages. I look forward to seeing/using the teaching resources.
