Not quite the same as planes, trains and automobiles but its a living (I still have enough enthusiasm to try and think of fun titles!) . Today's morning lecture covered cognitive apprenticeship...another potentially daunting buzz term that turned out to be very sensible and easy to understand. This was followed by a meeting with my MD tutor to discuss the shadow study and what I plan to do for my professional project during the second placement. The good news is that I was awarded an 'A' grade for my shadow study...the bad news is that it doesnt count towards anything...at least I enjoyed it and found it interesting. Fianl lecture of the day covered the core skills. We have touched upon these at numerous times throughout the course.
Managed to make contact with my second placement school today....and I will be visiting them on friday.
I am already looking forward to Ollie's presentation at the next SAGT conference..last years was really useful. 60 ideas in 60 minutes sounds like a good aim. Keep the funny quotes coming too...I have more than enough of my own so its nice to hear more experienced teachers dont lose the knack of talking gibberish.
