GPS and Second Higher Prelim

Colin Borthwick has been working hard on a GPS activity for our new S1 course. We are in the process of trialling new bits and pieces with our classes. The fair-trade unit has also been part of these developments.

The GPS activity (which involves the mapping of the school) seemed to go well, although at the end of the task we were one GPS down? After keeping the class back into the start of lunch we eventually found the GPS in a box by the whiteboard, where one of the S6 helpers had left it! You just can’t get the help these days, can you!

Today was also the day that I gave my Higher class a second preliminary examination. I have the class for a double period on a Monday, which gives the time required to sit a whole question paper. I have marked the first half of the papers and am concerned that some students have still not started revising for the final examination yet.

PT briefing after school. Topics discussed included deadlines for NABs and S3 examinations.
