This morning I received an email about the Scottish Schools Digital Network (SSDN) which will be a secure online environment designed to deliver a range of services, applications and content to teachers, pupils and education managers across Scotland.
The council is looking for staff to act mentors to help facilitate the implementation of the SSDN initiatives. Its something I would be interested in doing as I have an interest in using ICT in science classrooms, but the wording of the document may just restrict it to Teaching staff. I hope it doesn’t but often in education when the term “staff” is used it really means “teaching staff. I have sent off a couple of emails and hopefully I will hear back soon.
