The second half of Wednesday

The biggest problem with the XChange conference was the poor availability of wireless internet access. This is something that we will need to sort out for the Scottish event next year. As was however able to type some blog entries – but not post them until now.
Second half of Wednesday
The second half of Wednesday went a bit slow and I thought that some of the speakers were a little out of their depth. By the end of the conference I was started to get confused as to who the conference was aimed at? Is it teachers, school leaders, policy makers, academics or someone else? The lask of Internet access was also starting to get a bit frustating.
However at 18.00h was were bussed up to the government buildings at Stormont for a reception and for the presentation of the Xchange Digital Story Making Compettion. After the reception we went to the Cultra Manor House for a Barbeque. It was an excellent informal evening and a great opertunity to meet new people.
During the evening I spoke to a lot of people about exc-el, we are definitely ahead of the game in East Lothian and people seemed impressed with the project. I need to get some business cards made up for conferences with the exc-el web site on them.
