As a historian, I question the reliability of much that is written as anyone can publish and amend on the site (this is the nature of Wiki projects). Therefore, information may not be correct depending on the knowledge of the author.

On the positive side, this concept increases the potential for historical debate as authors can debate on-line as they would do in articles or books.

This is a great tool but must be checked against other sources of information whenever possible
