Each council is doing its evaluations its own way. I have been in contact with staff from different councils and a common theme is that lab assistants and technicians have stayed on the same grade, but seniors have lost out coming down to the same pay as main grade technicians. This may not be the case in East Lothian. The personnel department are at pains to stress that what happens in other councils should not be seen as an indicator of what will happen in East Lothian. Has anyone any views on this subject?
