What it says on the label...
Exc-el represents a long term committment by East Lothian Council to develop and promote excellent teaching. Rather than starting from a point where people are expected to get to, we are building from where they actually are. By adopting an approach that it is fundamentally grounded upon the attitudes, perceptions, knowledge and day-to-day reality of practitioners we believe that the likelihood of substantial change in the future is greatly increased. To best understand our approach we suggest you take the following route through this website.

How do I...?
Exc-el's success depends on every member of the community being able to contribute to the web site. But many are busy people, with limited time for training. That's why we're experimenting with some on-line training materials.
